YOUR GUIDE FOR BAIL BONDS IN DALLAS TEXAS

If you find that a loved one is being held in jail, you most likely will not need to go to the jail. Most of the time, only a licensed bail bond agent can post bail. Also, when someone has just been arrested, they will normally be tied up with processing for several hours. This is the ideal time to call Delta Bail Bonds to start the process of their bail bond and jail release. The bail bond process is as follows:
  1. First find out their booking number, the jail he or she is being held in, and the charges against him or her. You will also need to know the amount of the bail.
  2. Obtain the person’s full legal name (first, middle if applicable, and last). You will also need their date of birth.
  3. If possible, get access to a fax machine or get a number where you can receive faxes. If you do not have a fax machine, Kinkos or other copy shops will provide you with their phone number to use – normally the charge is $1 per page but please call them to be sure.
  4. We are normally required by law to collect 10% of the Bail set as a premium. You will have to pay this amount or arrange financing with us to assemble the funds. Delta Bail Bonds accepts cash, credit cards, checks and also provides financing.
  5. We will guarantee the entire amount of the Bail to the Court. We are guaranteeing that the person will appear. You may be required to guarantee that appearance by providing collateral for the entire bond amount. You may use collateral property such as your house, car, boat, or other property of value.
  6. Call Delta Bail Bonds at 214-526-4272. The Bail Agent will ask you some basic questions relating to who, what, where, and why the person is in custody. The Agent will also ask you questions about the personal history of the person being held such as where they work, previous arrests, time in current residence, etc. We will contact you at the phone number you provide us so please be sure to be available when we contact you. We will probably need to contact you several times.
  7. Delta Bail Bonds will next call the jail where the person is being held and get the exact bail information and begin planning their release.
  8. A bail agent will call you as soon as we have devised an appropriate plan and discuss bail with you. It often takes a few hours at minimum to complete the process so please be patient as we are doing all we can for you.
